1. What exactly is a "Clear Bra"? "Clear Bra" is the common term for Paint Protection Film (PPF). It is a transparent, urethane-based film applied to the high-impact areas of your vehicle to prevent rock chips and scratches.
2. Does PPF change the look of my car? Our standard PPF is optically clear and actually enhances the depth of your paint. However, we also offer "Stealth" or Matte PPF if you want to give your glossy paint a frozen, satin look.
3. How long does the installation take at your Bensenville shop? A "Full Front" package typically takes 1–2 days, while a "Full Vehicle" wrap takes 3–5 days. We require this time to ensure the edges are properly tucked and dried.
4. Can I pressure wash my car after getting PPF? Yes, but we recommend waiting 7 days for the film to fully cure. When washing, keep the pressure nozzle at least 18 inches away from the edges of the film to prevent lifting.
5. Is the 3-year labor warranty different from the 10-year manufacturer warranty? Yes. The 10-year warranty covers the material (yellowing/cracking). Our 3-year labor warranty covers the installation (peeling/lifting), giving you much better protection than the local 1-year standard.
6. Will PPF stop all rock chips? While PPF is incredibly durable and will stop the vast majority of road debris from reaching your paint, extremely large or sharp rocks at high speeds can still potentially mark the film—though your paint underneath remains safe.
7. Can you install Clear Bra on a used car? Absolutely. While it's best to install it on a brand-new car, we can install it on used vehicles. We recommend a professional paint correction beforehand to ensure the film looks its best.
8. What happens if I want to remove the film later? Our premium films are designed to be removed safely without leaving any adhesive residue or damaging the factory paint, even after 10 years.
