The Wrench Shack Warranty Overview
Premium Vinyl Wraps
Gloss Finishes (3M, Avery Dennison, Rayno): Up to 3 years coverage on film integrity and installation.
Matte & Satin Finishes: 3-year warranty against fading or lifting.
Custom/Specialty Films: Specialized warranties available based on film type and design.
Paint Protection Film (PPF)
Xpel & Rayno (Gloss, Matte, or Colored): Up to 10 years of protection (Manufacturer + Installation).
Self-Healing Technology: Our premium films are designed to self-heal minor surface swirls and light scratches with heat. Note: Deep gouges, heavy rock chips, or intentional damage (keying) are not covered.
Care & Maintenance Guidelines
To maintain your warranty and ensure maximum longevity, please follow these professional care standards:
The Golden Rule of Washing: Hand wash only using pH-neutral soap.
Avoid Automated Washes: Never use brush-style or "touchless" drive-thru washes. These use harsh chemicals and high-pressure jets that can lift edges or dull the finish.
Cleaning Precautions: Avoid pressure washing directly at the edges of the film. Never use abrasive scrubbing pads or industrial degreasers.
Surface Protection: We highly recommend a Ceramic Coating on top of your wrap or PPF to provide superior UV resistance and make cleaning significantly easier.
Conditions & Exclusions
Paint Condition: Wraps and PPF are designed to protect factory-quality paint. We are not liable for pre-existing defects, rust, or oxidation. Improperly repainted surfaces may be at risk during the application or removal process.
Environmental Factors: Illinois winters and road salt are harsh. Regular maintenance is required to prevent chemical etching from salt and grime.
Buffing & Polishing: Gloss films can be lightly polished by a professional. Matte and Satin films must never be buffed, as this will permanently change the finish to a semi-gloss.
Exclusions: Warranty does not cover damage from accidents, vandalism, road debris (heavy rock chips), or neglect.
Professional Removal Policy
When you’re ready for a new look, we provide professional removal services. While our premium films are designed to be removed safely, the age of the wrap and original paint condition will determine the ease of the process.
