Our Specialized Stealth & Black PPF Solutions
Stealth (Matte) PPF: The "Satin" Transformation
Stealth PPF is engineered to convert your factory gloss paint into a uniform, sophisticated satin-matte finish.
Seamless Integration: We utilize custom "Edge-Tuck" techniques to ensure no original gloss is visible, giving your car a factory-ordered matte look.
Low-Maintenance Luxury: Unlike matte paint, which is notoriously difficult to maintain, Stealth PPF is stain-resistant and can be washed easily without "polishing" the finish accidentally.
Black PPF: The Mirror-Finish Revolution
Black PPF is a game-changer for enthusiasts who want a deep black finish with the durability of armor.
Zero Orange Peel: Unlike traditional black vinyl, Black PPF has paint-like clarity with zero texture, providing a mirror-finish indistinguishable from high-end paint.
Full-Body Protection: You get the stunning aesthetic of a black car with the added benefit of stone chip protection and chemical resistance.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. What is the main difference between Stealth PPF and a Matte Vinyl Wrap?
Stealth PPF is much thicker ($8$ to $10$ mils) and provides actual impact protection against rocks. It also has self-healing properties and a much longer lifespan (10 years) compared to vinyl (3-5 years).
2. Can I turn any car color into a matte finish with Stealth PPF?
Yes! Stealth PPF is translucent. It takes your existing color (red, blue, silver, etc.) and gives it a "frosted" or satin appearance while keeping the original hue.
3. Is Stealth PPF harder to clean than regular paint?
Actually, it’s easier. It is highly hydrophobic (repels water) and doesn't show fingerprints or minor dust as easily as high-gloss paint.
4. How does the "Self-Healing" feature work?
The top coat of our XPEL and Rayno films is designed to return to its original shape. If you get light swirl marks from washing, simply parking the car in the sun or pouring warm water on it will make the marks vanish.
5. Will you wrap the door jambs with Stealth PPF?
Standard Stealth installs cover all exterior painted surfaces. Because PPF is thicker than vinyl, door jambs are typically an additional custom service. Most customers find the contrast between the gloss jamb and matte exterior looks very clean.
6. Does Stealth PPF protect against Illinois road salt?
Absolutely. It creates a non-porous barrier that prevents salt and magnesium chloride from reaching your factory clear coat, preventing corrosion and pitting.
7. Can I ceramic coat over Stealth PPF?
Yes, and we highly recommend it! A matte-specific ceramic coating will make the film even easier to clean and add an extra layer of UV protection.
8. Can I use a pressure washer on my Stealth PPF?
Yes, but keep the nozzle at least $12$ to $18$ inches away from the edges. High-pressure water directed right at a seam can cause lifting.
9. What happens if one panel gets damaged in an accident?
The beauty of PPF is that it is modular. We can remove the film from the damaged panel, have the body shop repair it, and then re-install a new piece of Stealth PPF to match the rest of the car perfectly.
10. How much does a full Stealth PPF transformation cost?
Full vehicle transformations typically start at $4,500 - $6,000 depending on the vehicle size and complexity. This is an investment that pays for itself in paint protection and resale value.
