What is the difference between a Vinyl Wrap and PPF? A Vinyl Wrap (like 3M or Avery) is primarily for changing the color and style of your car. Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a much thicker, self-healing material designed specifically to protect your paint from rock chips, scratches, and road debris.
How long does a full car wrap or PPF installation take? At our Bensenville shop, a full color change wrap or full-body PPF typically takes 3–4 days. We also offer a "Quick-Turn" Full Front PPF service that can be completed in just 1 day.
Do you offer a warranty on your work? Yes! We use premium 3M vinyl which carries an 8-year manufacturer warranty, and our Xpel/Rayno PPF comes with a 10-year warranty. Additionally, we provide a 3-year labor warranty on our installations.
Is it safe to wrap a leased vehicle? Absolutely. Both vinyl wraps and PPF are designed to be removable. In fact, many clients in the O'Hare area wrap their leased BMWs or Mercedes-Benzes to avoid "excess wear and tear" fees when returning the car.
Can I change the color of my car using PPF? Yes! We offer Colored PPF, which provides the beautiful aesthetics of a vinyl wrap but with the superior thickness and rock-chip protection of traditional paint protection film.
What is "Stealth" PPF? Stealth (or Matte) PPF is designed to give your car a satin/frosted finish. It can be used to protect factory matte paint or to transform a gloss-painted car into a "Stealth" look without a permanent paint job.
Do you use blades on my car's paint? No. At Auto Style PPF, we use a precision plotter to pre-cut all film based on your vehicle's specific VIN and part numbers. This ensures a perfect fit with zero risk of blades touching your paint.
Why did you move to a climate-controlled facility? Vinyl and PPF require specific temperatures for optimal adhesion. Our new A/C controlled room ensures a dust-free environment and a stronger bond, which is essential for the longevity of the wrap in Illinois' changing weather.
